Application of LED

LED is the abbreviation of Light Emitting Diode, which belongs to a compound semiconductor component. LED lighting is Light Emitting Diode lighting, which is a semiconductor solid-state light-emitting device. It uses a solid semiconductor chip as a light-emitting material, in the semiconductor, the excess energy is released by the recombination of carriers in the semiconductor, which causes photon emission, and directly emits red, yellow, blue, green, cyan, orange, purple, and white light.

 

From the difference of the luminous intensity of LED lighting, LED chips can be divided into ordinary brightness LED, high brightness LED and ultra-high brightness LED according to the luminous intensity.

 

Ordinary brightness LED: usually used for indicator lights, such as calculators, test instruments, and electronic equipment for indicator lights.

 

High-brightness LED: often used for special lighting, such as traffic lights. Warning lights, explosion-proof lights, etc.

 

Ultra-high brightness LED: commonly used in residential and industrial lighting to replace existing incandescent and fluorescent lamps.
