Launched last November, LUMINEX is a disruptive laser-based chip transfer solution for mini and micro LEDs. Capable of single-die transfer, multi-die transfer, and mass transfer, this highly flexible system supports sorting, mixing, repositioning, and placement process steps. The system's broad flexibility addresses the growing advanced display value chain and supports the needs of LED, OSAT, panel and display suppliers.
According to TrendForce, the world's leading market intelligence provider, 4.7 million 4-inch mini LED wafer equivalents will be used in backlight applications in 2026. Meanwhile, about 4.6 million 4-inch mini LED wafer equivalents will be used for direct-emitting displays by 2026.
In the coming years, the company also expects Micro LEDs to support next-generation high-quality direct-emission displays, further accelerating the long-term prospects of its advanced display portfolio.
