Why radar sensors instead of infrared?
Compared with infrared, the radar sensor is more sensitive, responsive, and reliable. The light turns itself right on when you need it.
Compared with infrared, radar sensor works great in hot weather because it's based on motion detection instead of temperature like infrared does.
